We’re proud to launch a new collaboration with our friends at Cooperative Coffee Roasters: introducing Phantom Power, a new coffee roasted exclusively for Echo Mountain!

Cooperative Coffee Roasters, based in West Asheville, have been roasting since 2019 and we were already big fans when we started this conversation around the idea of a coffee blend for the studio. Perfect for early mornings and late night sessions, each 12 oz bag is a whole bean roast featuring flavor notes of dark chocolate, almonds and caramel.

Available only through Echo Mountain. Can be shipped nationwide or available for free pickup at our studio.

What does the name mean?

Phantom power, commonly known as +48V, is a method of sending direct current (DC) electrical power through a balanced XLR cable to power active audio equipment, primarily condenser microphones and DI boxes. It eliminates the need for external power supplies for these devices. We call it “phantom” because it allows power to travel on the same cables as the audio signal without affecting the audio, often using the same wire for both.

In other words: wired, not tired!
